Tribal Vibes was set up to share our love of African rhythm and dance with a wider audience and to promote the talents of artistes with whom we have had the good fortune to work. Having experienced the hospitality and generosity of the people of Senegal first hand, we wanted others to share in some of the extraordinary talents and creativity we have witnessed both in Dakar and in the UK.
All are talented musicians, Cheikh and Oumar dance too, teaching with patience and an obvious passion for their arts. Beginners and advanced students alike have benefited from classes, leaving enthused and inspired. Cheikh and Oumar are also skilled craftsmen, making and repairing djembe, tama, dun dun and sabar drums as well as other traditional African instruments. They hope to hold drum tuning and repair workshops in the future to enable those of us with our own drums to keep them in good condition.

They are happy to offer workshops for children or adults, either full or part day,
in either drum, dance or both.
Bookings welcome from schools and youth and community groups. See feedback page to see what schools have said about their visit.
Or, if you can get together enough interested people to make a workshop viable,
they could come to you.
Bookings taken for all areas with priority for Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire and South Wales. The group are very busy this year so get your booking in as soon as possible to avoid missing out!

Adult drumming and African dance classes are also available in the evenings to suit both beginners and more advanced. Contact us for venues and times.
Drums may be borrowed for the classes or bring your own.

They also offer a performance only option: bookings taken for festivals, music camps, private parties, community groups, pubs and clubs etc. etc. ALL areas considered.

I can wholeheartedly recommend the African band that Sarah from Atlanta Entertainments found for us. They were extremely professional, punctual, and very flexible. Our wedding had an African theme, and they made the whole reception absolutely amazing. They not only dressed in traditional African outfits, but played very traditional African music. All four of them got our guests involved and made the drinks reception thoroughly interactive. I cannot recommend them highly enough !
